🎙️ Vibe Coding Walkie — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Summary: Vibe Coding Walkie records audio only when you actively tap the widget or button. Audio is sent to your configured API endpoints for transcription and AI processing. We do not store, sell, or share your data with third parties.
1. Introduction
Vibe Coding Walkie ("the App", package: com.vibecodingwalkie) is a voice-to-AI assistant widget for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your data.
2. Data We Collect
The App collects and processes the following data:
- Voice Audio: Recorded only when you actively initiate recording by tapping the widget or the in-app button. Audio is processed ephemerally — it is sent to your configured transcription endpoint and not stored on any server permanently.
- Configuration Data: API endpoint URLs, API keys, agent names, and custom icons you provide during setup. This data is stored locally on your device only.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- ❌ We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
- ❌ We do not collect location data
- ❌ We do not collect device identifiers or analytics
- ❌ We do not use advertising SDKs or trackers
- ❌ We do not record audio in the background — recording only occurs when you actively initiate it
4. How Your Data Is Used
- Voice Audio: Sent to your user-configured transcription API (e.g., n8n webhook with OpenAI Whisper) for speech-to-text conversion. The resulting transcript is then sent to your configured AI API endpoint for processing. Audio is not retained after processing.
- Configuration Data: Stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. Never transmitted to us or any third party.
5. Third-Party Services
The App connects to API endpoints that you configure. These may include:
- Speech-to-text services (e.g., OpenAI Whisper via n8n webhooks)
- AI language model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or other compatible endpoints)
The App does not connect to any third-party service by default. All connections are user-configured and under your control. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party services you choose to connect.
6. Data Storage & Security
- All configuration data (API keys, endpoints) is stored locally on your device
- Audio recordings are temporary and deleted after processing
- API communications use HTTPS encryption in transit
- No data is stored on our servers — we do not operate any servers
7. Permissions
The App requests the following Android permissions:
- RECORD_AUDIO: To capture voice input when you tap the widget or button
- INTERNET: To communicate with your configured API endpoints
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE (MICROPHONE): To ensure reliable audio recording during voice input sessions
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
